Looking for a therapist can be a daunting task, and I’m thankful that you’ve come here to see if we might be a good fit.
Therapy can look and feel different for each person because each of our lives is built by a complex web of unique life experiences, upbringings, beliefs, values, and relationships. My work is grounded in a profound respect and curiosity for each person’s unique life story, as well as a recognition that these complexities of life can be overwhelming and isolating at times.
I believe that having a place where we feel like we belong and are safe to simply be ourselves is essential in a world that so often asks us to be different. It’s important to me that in our sessions, you feel like you can be yourself, that you are seen and heard, and that I’m on your side.
I’m passionate about empowering my clients to build strong, meaningful relationships with themselves and the world around them, and to make confident choices in life.
In my sessions, I take a collaborative approach. We will decide on the focus and goals of therapy together and make adjustments along the way as your needs evolve. I bring my authentic self to our work — I will ask you questions, think and feel alongside you, share laughs with you, and offer my perspective.
A little bit about me as a person: I was born in Japan but lived in a few different places before coming to Canada in 2012 to study music. I love to eat, take naps with my cats, and knit every once in a while.
